The 250 model has been specially developed for high flows, from 250m³/h and up, and is the same product as that used in the certified award-winning ballast water purification system, PureBallast. This product is very well suited to high water flows, such as in cooling using sea water in different industrial processes, where the technology reduces algae growth and mussels in the system without using chemical additives. The 250 model can be adapted to the desired flow, degree of purification and available power supply.
The Wallenius AOT 250 is included as the core of PureBallast, the first chemical-free ballast water purification system to be approved by the UN's International Maritime Organization and to be certified by Det Norske Veritas. PureBallast has been developed by Wallenius Water and Alfa Laval. PureBallast is sold by Alfa Laval.
